IoT using Raspberry Pi
You may be someone with no prior programming or electronics knowledge and has heard about Raspberry Pi and wants to try it out. Welcome on board! Let’s get to know what it is!
The Raspberry Pi is a low cost, credit-card sized computer that plugs into a computer monitor or TV, and uses a standard keyboard and mouse. It is a capable little device that enables people of all ages to explore computing, and to learn how to program in languages like Scratch and Python.
The main purpose of designing the Raspberry Pi board is to encourage learning experimentation and innovation for school level students. Learning IoT with Raspberry pi helps kids to learn to code and build their computing skill set.
About This Course!
The Raspberry Pi is an accessible and versatile mini-computer. This course is ideal for the students who seek to learn coding with an IoT platform. Kids with prior knowledge in arduino and python courses can join the course.
This course is divided into three levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced and is offered in both online and offline mode.
Kids registered will require having Raspberry pi board including operating system installed in SD card, Monitor, keyboard and mouse.
What you’ll learn!
01
Students will learn installation of operating systems in Raspberry pi board. They will learn how to connect and program GPIO. Students will learn some basic sensor connections and learn to write code for them.
E.g. Blink LED, Control Relay with GPIO
02
In the intermediate level students will learn to interface some sensors which require prior knowledge of programming in python. Students will learn to connect sensors like Bluetooth module, RFID, Humidity sensors etc. together and will learn to write code for them.
E.g. Humidity and Temperature sensor interfacing (DHT11), Interfacing Raspberry Pi and Ultrasonic sensor
03
Advanced
In advanced level students will learn IoT implementation of Raspberry Pi. They will learn to send data in a real time system as well to control sensors from remote locations. Students will be able to display sensor output data and analysis it into different API.
E.g. Realtime database update with firebase, GPS Module Interfacing with Raspberry Pi
04
In the end of the advanced level students will make projects based on their learning on their own.
E.g. Realtime firebase robotic car, GPS sensor based tracking system.
