2D Animation

Have you ever wondered how cartoons are made and how they move and talk? You got it right…ANIMATION.

Animation is the art and science of making pictures, or images, appear to move. Animated movies and television shows are popular forms of entertainment. We will create Games by 2D or 3D animation.

2D animation is the creation of moving pictures in a two dimensional environment. This is achieved by sequencing images one after the other to simulate movement.

There are 2 basic types of animation: traditional animation and computer animation.

  • Traditional Animation- which is also known as Cel-Animation. It requires animators to draw each frame by hand and it makes static objects appear to move.
  • Computer Animation – This type of animation is created by modeling, texturing, layout, lighting and shading, rendering and compositing of frames in the software using a computer.
